Joy and Dean Nafziger were a couple paired by Cupid. Except Cupid happened to be Dean's aunt! Joy was living with her sister when Dean was with the Navy in Hutchinson. In June of 1945, Dean came to visit his aunt who lived across the hall from Joy and her sister in an apartment building. Dean's aunt took it upon herself introduce the two. Not long after, Joy and Dean married in 1946. Dean was fresh out of the Navy and Joy was a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell. In July of 1947 they welcomed their first child, a daughter. Next, came their son in 1949 and another daughter in 1952. The Nafziger's have eight grandchildren. Thank you, Joy and Dean, for choosing The Regent as your home.
