Gene Spear and Ms. Margaret Nelson really know how to start off the New Year in grand style! At 10a.m. on Jan. 1, in The Regent Chapel, they joined hands and hearts in marriage. The Chapel was decorated with scattered silk rose petals on a white satin runner and wedding bells with white satin bows adorned the archways. Wedding music on the chapel organ was played before and after the ceremony. Residents were waiting to cast rose petals on the new bride and groom as they were leaving the chapel. Flutes were provided to toast Mr. and Mrs. Spear. Gene Spear, found of Spear's Restaurants, and Ms. Margaret Nelson, co-owner of Joyland Park, celebrated their honeymoon on The Plaza in Kansas City, MO. The Spears plan to do a lot of traveling, but will always call The Regent their home! Congratulations!!
