Emmadell Robinson was born in Morrilton, AK. She was named after her two grandmothers Emma and Della. In 1951, her father brought her family to Wichita. After graduation from North High, she went to business college and in 1960 she married Hervin Robinson. Emmadell has three children and six grandchildren. Emmadell worked for the first African-American Mayor in Wichita and she was the Trust Department V.P. for Kansas State Bank (Intrust), plus, the treasurer for former Senator Gooch. Her hobbies are serving her church and community. She feels she has been put on this earth to be an "encourager". Emmadell decided to make The Regent her home after reading their mission statement. She liked the idea of independence, the friendly and caring residents and associates, and the campus itself. At a recent Town Hall meeting she said, "I'm so happy to be here. This is my home." We're happy you're here too, Emmadell!
