Fred and Ella met in 1978 at Tinker Air Force Base in Ocoda, Michigan. Ella was a sheet metal worker and Fred was a Sergeant and physical fitness instructor. Fred was in the military for 22 years. They met in a night club and Ella wanted to meet Fred, because she thought he was (and still is) a good dancer. A year later, Fred moved his family to Oklahoma City to be near Ella and they got married. Fred and Ella each have 5 kids and between their 10 kids, they have 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren - talk about a big family! Ella says that they are very lucky that all of their kids turned out well and that all of their grandchildren are healthy. Ella and Fred celebrated their 32nd anniversary on September 14th.
