Bob Vara was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. At the young age of 17, Bob enlisted and joined the Navy, where he served for two years as a radar man. During his service, Bob was able to travel the world. Some of the many countries he has experienced include: Greece, France, and the Dominican Republic. For many years, Bob was employed by Gem International as the general manager. After retirement, Bob moved to Las Vegas, where he took a job as a limo driver. He once chauffeured Smokey Robinson! Bob has lived in Wichita for six years. He came to The Regent for all of its many amenities. Bob enjoys cooking, watching movies, and the camaraderie he feels here at The Regent. When asked if he had any words of advice, Bob says, "Stay happy and wish for the best!" We are thrilled to have Bob here at The Regent.
